The set of nominations includes one for ‘One Life to Live’ alum Renee Elise Goldsberry. Not only did Goldsberry receive a nomination but also her co-star and ironically her former ‘One Life to Live’ co-star Jonathan Groff,who played Henry Mackler also received one.

Goldsberry is nominated in the category for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for her role as Angelica Schuyler, while Groff is nominated in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for his role as King George. His co-stars Daveed Diggs and Christopher Jackson are also nominated in this category.
‘Hamilton’ is nominated in the category of Best Musical. For its actor nominations, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Leslie Odom Jr. are nominated in the category for Best performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical and Phillipa Soo for Best performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical. Congratulations to all nominees, The Tony Awards will be handed out on June 12 as it airs on CBS.

In regards to her nomination, Goldsberry took to Instagram this morning with a post “Watched the Tony noms with my baby girls this morning! I am so grateful for and for all of God’s perfect blessings! I am so humbled by this nomination. And I am high on all this love…”
Goldsberry is most known for playing the role of Evangeline Williamson on OLTL from 2003 – 2007, when the show was cancelled by ABC. Groff on the other hand played Henry in 2007 for an approximate 11 episodes.
