‘General Hospital’ POLL: Is Ava Responsible for Morgan’s Death? VOTE!

'General Hospital' POLL: Is Ava Responsible for Morgan's Death? VOTE!General Hospital’s Port Charles residents have been dealt a huge blow from the death of a young Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig). Fans have been outraged that Morgan has been killed. Everyone has the right to grieve his death, but there seems to be a question whether Ava Jerome (Maura West) should be shedding any tears. Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zemen) asked Ava if she really loved Morgan, and she replied that she did. Morgan was the only one who was on her side and believed in her.

Despite their age difference, Morgan and Ava did have a love affair, and at one point they deeply cared for each other, but where was that love when she decided to destroy his and Kiki’s (Hayley Erin) relationship? She stopped at nothing to ruin Morgan, was this out of jealousy that he chose Kiki, or was it because of her hatred for his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?

General Hospital’s Ava replaced his bipolar medications with placebos, knowing how important it was for him to take them to maintain his chemical imbalance. She then watched as he fell farther and farther into a depression. She watched him get so far out of control that he attacked her own brother, Julian (William DeVry); even that didn’t stop her!

The night of his death, Ava knew Morgan was beyond the point of reasoning, and if she had ever truly loved him, she would have gotten him the help he needed; instead, she sat next to him at The Floating Rib, and pushed him deeper and deeper into drinking shot after shot of alcohol. To Ava, Morgan was just a pawn in her game. It was clear that she didn’t care ultimately whether he lived or died.

Ava voiced her concern to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) about Morgan, but Scott advised her legally to stay away from him, since he knew what Ava had done to him; even Julian brushed off her concerns as Morgan staggered out of the bar drunk. Morgan stole Julian’s car because he was manic and drunk, both of which could be solely blamed on Ava; but at the same time, Morgan was an adult, and he chose to drink the alcohol even though he still believed he was taking his medication.

In the end, the real question is whether Ava’s actions were the direct reason Morgan died, or was Morgan responsible for his own actions, and the only person to blame is the one who planted the bomb? Do you think Ava is guilty, yes or no?
