‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: ‘General Hospital’ Alum Robb Derringer Joins ‘DOOL’ Cast As Scooter Nelson

‘Days of Our Lives’ has cast Robb Derringer [Kyle Sloane, ‘General Hospital’] as Scooter Nelson, a character described as a sex addict. The actor gave fans a behind the scenes look when he tweeted a photo with A Martinez [Eduardo Hernandez].
‘Othello & Cassio together again! Had a wonderful reunion w/A Martinez one of the most talented & true hearted people in the business,” Robb shared on September 29. Robb was referring to the time when the duo worked together at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angles in the Shakespeare play ‘Othello’ in 2014.
As you will recall ‘Days of Our Lives’ sent out a casting call in mid-September for the role of Scooter. The character was described as a “handsome, eccentric, elitist math professor with an addition to sex.” Details in the casting call required the actor to be between 35-45 years old.
Fans should expect to see the charismatic professor show up in Salem some time in February or March 2017 according to the casting call. It is not clear if Scooter and Eduardo will interact during the sex addict’s time in town. According to Robb’s IMDb profile he has filmed 8 episodes for ‘Days of Our Lives.’
In addition to ‘DOOL’ and ‘General Hospital’ Robb’s other soap credits include a brief stint as Wayne on ‘The Young and the Restless’ and four episodes of ‘All My Children’ in 2010. Robb has made guest appearances on primetime dramas as well. They include ‘Castle’ [Jeffery Wadlow], ‘NCIS’ [Jon Phelps], ‘CSI: NY[Phillip Roth] and ‘Melrose Place’ [Andrew Misher].
‘Days of Our Lives’ fans look forward to finding out what trouble Professor Scooter Nelson will bring to Salem. But, we’ll need to wait for a few more months to find out.
