‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: ‘DOOL’ Casting Call Sent Out For Deanna – Another New Character!

‘Days Of Our Lives’ spoilers tease that there will be another new face in Salem soon.  The NBC soap opera has sent out a casting call for a woman named Deanna.  ‘DOOL’ is now on a regular filming schedule, and is no longer shooting 6 months in advance, which means we may meet Deanna sooner rather than later.

According to ‘Days Of Our Lives’ spoilers, Deanna is an African American woman in her mid 20’s.  Soap Opera Digest released the official ‘DOOL’ casting call and teased that Deanna is, “a confident, edgy, strong, intelligent female. She has overcome obstacles in her past that make her the strong independent woman she is today. In her chosen field, vulnerability is a liability so her tough exterior can sometimes make her hard to read.”

It sounds like Deanna may have a dangerous job – perhaps another Salem police officer will be headed to town.  Or maybe some sort of agent or officer from another town, following crime to Salem?  It’s worth noting that earlier this month ‘Days’ spoilers revealed the soap was bringing back the character Valerie Grant, who is also African American.  Could Deanna be a relative of her’s, possibly even the iconic character’s daughter?
