‘The Young and the Restless’ Rumors: Is Shelia Carter Coming Back To YR – Kimberlin Brown Rehired?

Kimberlin Brown who played Sheila Carter on “The Young and the Restless” is probably not coming back to the popular Daytime soap despite a new report.

According to Soap Shows, “Kimberlin Brown has been commissioned to come back to The Young and The Restless as Sheila Carter in the fall of 2015 for a three-month stint..”

The site is probably repeating rumors that circulated in both 2009 and 2012. Fans have also been tweeting, “please bring back our favorite villainess. It’s long over due. Talent wasted” and SS jumped on this story. Of course we would love if the rumor was true since Sheila was one of the best Villainesses on Daytime Soaps. As a matter of fact in 1993 she won a 20th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Villainess.”

So who confirmed this news to Soap Shows? Well SS says “Recent sources have confirmed that this may not have been the end.” Seriously? What sources? CBS? When SOS exclusively contacted sources close to CBS we were told, “It is not true!”

If you are not familiar with Kimberlin Brown and her character Sheila Carter on ‘The Young and the Restless’ our favorite villainess Sheila Carter debuted in 1990. The last time Genoa City residents saw Sheila she looked exactly like Phyllis (Played by Michelle Stafford) Lauren Fenmore’s (Tracy E. Bregman) bestie.

From the moment Sheila came to town she was out to destroy Lauren.  She began her campaign by trying to seduce Lauren’s husband Dr Scott Grainger (Peter Barton).  Sheila who was a nurse at the time developed an unhealthy crush on Dr Grainger and eventually became determined to have him.  Lauren was just an annoying thorn in her side, but that did not stop Nurse Sheila.  Sheila found many ways to cause Lauren grief, making her life a living hell for years.

Let’s fast forward to 2006 when Sheila had plastic surgery to look exactly like Lauren’s bestie Phyllis.  Sheila eventually kidnapped Lauren’s son baby Fen (Max Ehrich) and stole Phyllis’s daughter Summer, (Hunter King) In the end there was a show down, Lauren arrived with a loaded gun but could not tell the difference between fake Phyllis (Sheila) and real Phyllis.  Fake Phyllis (Sheila) used Summer as a shield showing Lauren which Phyllis was the real one. Lauren blew Sheila away killing her and saving Fen, Summer and Phyllis.

Lets look at the obvious questions: 1) If Sheila is coming back how will they use the original actor since Sheila had plastic surgery and changed her face 2) She was also shot dead.

I guess anything is possible in the world of Soaps but this one seems really far out there.  What do you think “The Young and the Restless” fans, is Sheila Carter heading back to “Y&R” or is this just speculation?
