'The Young and the Restless' News: YR's Avery Clark Actress Jessica Collins Cast in Road-Trip Drama 'So B. It'

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers recently revealed that Jessica Collins was OUT at the CBS soap and her character Avery will be exiting Genoa City this summer. Fans were obviously shocked by Avery’s departure, after all she is a central character on the daytime drama and has been since she arrived in 2013. Y&R fans are currently speculating over how Avery will exit, and rumor has it her last few scenes will be ones for the books. But, Jessica Collins is already done filming – and she is moving on from “The Young and the Restless” and she is not looking back.

According to a new report from Variety, Collins has already landed a new gig and has been cast in a new film titled “So B It.” Variety reports that the film is about a 12 year old girl named Heidi who cares for her mentally disabled mother and spends a summer travelling around the country searching for information on their family history. According to Variety’s report Collins will be playing the part of Heidi’s mentally challenged mother and she is joined by a star-studded cast that includes: Alfre Woodard, Talitha Bateman, Jacinda Barrett, John Heard, Dash Mihok, and Cloris Leachman. Filming for Collins’ new movie will begin on July 13 in Los Angeles.

We are truly sad to see Jessica Collins leave “The Young and the Restless,” but it is quite the accomplishment to already have found work. Some soap stars struggle for years finding a new gig after they exit daytime drama. What do you think of Jessica’s new movie? Will you be tuning in?

    I will miss Jessica very much on Y&R upon her exit ! Jessica is extremely talented so her getting the gig is not a surprise to me ! I will follow her career always and good luck 🙂

    So sad to see her depart Y&R and hopefully few more episodes will have her storyline come to an end she can again return to! I’ll definitely look for her in this movie but do think the soap will suffer without some non-Neuman/Abott characters. If they were at a loss for storyline I could provide some twists…as most are predictable, and the rest just poor scrpits at times.
