‘The Young and Restless’ News: Alyvia Alyn Lind Chosen To Play Young Dolly Parton In New Movie

Seven-year-old Alyvia Alyn Lind who plays Nick Newman and Sharon Newman’s daughter Faith  on the popular Daytime Soap “The Young and the Restless” received good news today.  Alyvia was chosen by Dolly Parton to play her as a young child.  Even though Alyvia thought she was meeting with producers, Dolly surprised Alyvia and told her she would be portraying her in a new NBC movie called, “Coat of Many Colors.”  The movie, named after Dolly’s song, will be based on Dolly’s upbringing, with Dolly serving as executive producer.

Alyvia was extremely thrilled especially when Dolly told her, “When I was watching your audition I thought I wish I had been that pretty, I wish I had been that smart.  I really felt you and I thought well I would be so honoured to have you play little Dolly so we are announcing today that your are it.”

Alyvia is a wonderful little actress and we cannot wait to see the movie!
