‘Days of Our Lives’ POLL: Did Bo Brady Get the Proper Sendoff? Were You Satisfied with Bo’s Funeral? VOTE!

'Days of Our Lives' POLL: Did Bo Brady Get the Proper Sendoff? Were You Satisfied with Bo’s Funeral? When “Days of Our Lives” brought back Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), most viewers were thrilled. Even though his stint was short, we got a chance to see real closure for Bo and Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) love story. Bo’s death scenes were beautiful and fans were moved by the powerful performances. However, there was a bit of disappointment when it came to Bo’s funeral.

We recently said goodbye to another longtime “Days” character when Will (Guy Wilson) died at the hands of the necktie killer. Will’s funeral came with several poignant speeches and DOOL included as many loved ones as they could pack on screen. Almost a full episode was devoted to the service itself.

Unfortunately, we didn’t see that with Bo. If you blinked, you might have missed it! Bo’s funeral was basically reduced to a handful of family members and a few cops from the force. We saw a small amount of tearful close-ups and some roses being placed on Bo’s casket. That was pretty much the extent of the tribute.

If a character has to go, a satisfying sendoff is in order. “Days of Our Lives” fans expect it to be done right. Considering Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) latest storyline, it made sense that she would be missing. Still, there were plenty of glaring omissions. Eric (Greg Vaughan), Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) were all absent from the service.

We can’t forget about Chelsea (Rachel Melvin) and Kim (Patsy Pease). Shouldn’t Bo’s daughter and half-sister have attended? It just didn’t seem complete without them. Of course, it would’ve been nice to see all of Salem turn out for such a beloved character.

To be fair, there’s been a lot of sadness on “Days of Our Lives” lately. Perhaps DOOL writers and producers felt it was best to move things along quickly with a simple service. Some viewers were just happy to put the grief to rest along with Bo. That’s why we want to know what you think. Was Bo’s funeral a fitting sendoff or did “Days” leave you disappointed? Was it good enough or a total outrage? Voice your opinion by voting in our “Days of Our Lives” poll below!
